Bhd. is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding of its latest innovation – the OUDino - aimed at revolutionising the agarwood industry with Iba Botanicals Inc. (Iba), a Philippines-based agriculture company.
This signifies a significant milestone in regional cooperation, particularly between Malaysia and the Philippines. The partnership with Iba holds strategic importance, given Iba's reputation as a frontrunner in producing high-value botanicals, such as agarwood, for global markets.
The MoU was signed by the Group Chief Executive Officer of UMP Holdings Group cum Chairman of Synbion, Tuan Syed Alwi bin Mohamed Sultan and Ben Mead, the Chief Executive Officer of Iba Botanicals Inc.
The signing was witnessed by Tan Sri Nazir Razak, Chairman of ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Malaysia, Datuk Seri Mustafa Mohamed, Chairman of B2B Initiative (ASEAN BAC), Joey Concepcion III, Chairman of ASEAN-BAC Philippines and Professor Dr Saiful Nizam Tajuddin, Director of Synbion.
Leveraging cutting-edge research and development, the OUDino product is a biotechnology invention, which represents a significant milestone and testament of UMPSA’s ongoing commitment to driving research and development inventions and technology commercialisation.
